1. Getting Started Guide

Step 1: Installation

Download Owy's Fun directly from the Apple App Store. Ensure your iOS device is running iOS 14.0 or later for optimal performance.

Step 2: Environment Setup

Space: Clear a 2x2 meter area for your smart bike to ensure safety.
Device Placement: Place your iPad or iPhone on the bike's integrated stand or a secure surface in front of the bike.
Audio: For the best immersive experience, we recommend enabling sound on your device to hear the educational content and game audio cues.

Step 3: First Launch

Upon opening the app, you will be greeted by the "Owy" mascot. Follow the on-screen tutorial to calibrate your profile (age, height) which helps our viewing algorithms customize the difficulty.

2. Hardware Connectivity

Owy's Fun uses Bluetooth 4.0+ (BLE) technology to communicate with smart fitness equipment.

How to Connect Your Bike

Enable Bluetooth: Go to your iOS Settings and ensure Bluetooth is toggled ON.
Wake the Bike: Pedal your smart bike for 3-5 seconds to wake up its internal sensor. You may see a blue blinking light on the bike's console.
In-App Pairing:
- Open the Owy's Fun App.
- Tap the "Connect Device" icon in the top right corner.
- Select your bike from the "Available Devices" list (e.g., "OwyBike-X1").
- Once connected, the icon will turn Green.

Standard FTMS (Fitness Machine Service) Bluetooth protocol bikes.
Standard CSC (Cycling Speed & Cadence) Bluetooth sensors attached to traditional bikes.

3. Game Modes Explained

Our app features distinct modes designed to target different "Educational Fitness" goals.

🚴 Reference Mode (Free Ride)

Goal: Casual riding with scenic backgrounds.
Educational Aspect: Learn about different geographies and landmarks as you ride through virtual cities.

⏱️ Sprint Race (Competitive)

Goal: Reach the finish line first! Supports 1-4 players.
Mechanics: High speed = faster avatar.
Neuroplasticity Focus: Short bursts of intense activity designed to heighten alertness before a study session.

🚣 Cooperative Boat (Teamwork)

Goal: Row a boat down a river by maintaining a consistent synchronized cadence with your partner.
Mechanics: If Player A pedals too fast and Player B too slow, the boat steers off course. You must communicate to stay straight.
Educational Aspect: Emotional Intelligence (EQ), communication, and collaboration.

🎯 Target Hunt (Focus)

Goal: Navigate a maze to find correct answers to educational questions (Math, Science, Vocab).
Mechanics: Control speed to steer. Stop pedaling to pause and think.
Educational Aspect: Critical thinking under physical load.

4. Account & Subscription

Managing Your Subscription

Owy's Fun offers an optional "Owy+ Premium" subscription which unlocks:

Unlimited access to the full library of 500+ educational music videos.
Advanced analytics and long-term progress tracking.
Multi-profile support (up to 4 children).

To Cancel:

Open the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad.
Tap your Name/Apple ID.
Tap Subscriptions.
Select Owy's Fun and choose "Cancel Subscription".

Restoring Purchases

If you reinstalled the app or switched devices, go to the App's Settings > Store and tap the "Restore Purchases" button to regain access to your content.

5. Troubleshooting Common Issues

❌ Bluetooth Connection Drops

Interference: Move other Bluetooth devices (speakers, conflicting phones) away from the bike.
Battery: Replace the batteries in your speed/cadence sensor (typically CR2032).
Reset: Turn Bluetooth OFF and ON again on your iOS device. Force quit the app and restart.

📉 Incorrect Speed/Data

Calibration: Ensure the wheel size is set correctly in Settings > Hardware > Wheel Diameter.
Sensor Gap: If using an external magnet sensor, ensure the magnet passes within 3mm of the sensor.

🔇 No Sound

Check the physical mute switch on the side of your iPhone/iPad.
Ensure the volume slider in the App's "Settings" menu is turned up.
If connected to an external TV via HDMI/AirPlay, audio levels may need to be adjusted on the TV.
